All English 3 prompts here: 1. 'Writing Goals' - 8/11/17 - Write down two goals you have as a writer this year. We'll talk about them in your first 1x1 conference beginning next week.
2. Rambling Autobiography - 8/14/17 - This is a 7-minute writing activity. You will write the story of your life in this time. Some tips: - Imagine your life is 'flashing before your eyes'. - Catch at least 12 of these 'flashes' and write them down. - This is a 'stream of consciousness' exercise. Each thought may not be connected to the next. - Use imagery to 'paint a picture' of these snapshots of your life. See example here.
3. 'Character Comparison' - 8/17/17 - Pick a character that you have been exposed to through our reading so far. Can you relate to this character? How? What are some similarities or differences? 1 paragraph minimum
4. 'Crucible Predictions' - 8/23or24/17 - Make two predictions for The Crucible. Add some detail to ensure you get at least a paragraph.
5. 'Who's Guilty?' - 8/25/17 Choose one of the following two prompts to write about today:
Have you ever been accused of something you didn't do? How did you feel? How did you handle the situation?
or
Based on what you know so far, who's guilty in The Crucible. What are they guilty of?
6. 'Let Down' - Write about a time someone let you down. One paragraph minimum.
7. 'The End of The Crucible' - What did you think of the end of The Crucible? Would you have done the same as Giles Corey or John Proctor? Explain?.
